TOKYO SAISEIKAI CENTRAL HOSPITAL President

Saiseikai was established in 1911 as Imperial Gift Foundation, based on the Imperial Rescript by Emperor Meiji. Then, Tokyo Saiseikai Hospital was opened as featuring a wide-reaching network of branches, named as Saiseikai Shiba Hospital in 1915. The network was rearranged after the World War II, and Saiseikai Shiba Hospital changed its name as Tokyo Saiseikai Central Hospital.

Since the hospital was established, we have worked and have provided medical care whoever need more than 100 years, based on the spirit of “Saisei (overcoming challenges posed by ever-changing social and economic circumstances).” For the next 100 years, we will continue to work, help, and provide everybody by re-assessing how health, welfare, and medical services should be addressed given Japan’s ongoing status.

Based on our policy and mission statements, we have engaged the three promises listed below and each one of us has worked on. We will have rearranged and modified our hospital based on the needs from our community and society. There are 35 clinics in our hospital and we can provide the most appropriate, comprehensive medical care for each of our patients. Each clinic has worked very hard on developing their knowledge, skills and techniques, and have maintained as the top-notched medical facility.

We have the Emergency and Critical Care Center and also, our hospital will work as a disaster center hospital in an emergency on-set. We have worked and have modified our system which would fit our community and society needs now and in the future.

We all have made a commitment to provide the best medical treatment and care for each of our patients and families under a warm environment.

Japan Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients (JMIP)

On March 15, 2017, Tokyo Saiseikai Central Hospital was accredited with the Japan Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients (JMIP). Our hospital is the first Saiseikai institution in Japan to be accredited with this system.
What is the Japan Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients (JMIP)? JMIP is an accreditation system in which the Japan Medical Education Foundation evaluates, from neutral and impartial standpoints, an institution’s capability to smoothly accept international patients, including the provision of information in multiple languages and treatments adjusted for different cultures or religions. The goal of this system is to ensure that international patients visiting or living in Japan can receive Japanese medical services safely and reliably.
Our hospital has been accredited as an institution that contributes to better medical services, mainly in English.
Under the social mission of Saiseikai, we will continue to promote activities to improve ourselves, striving to develop an environment where anyone from any country can receive medical care safely.
